2021 National Education Contest

The themes and procedures for the 2021 National Education Contest have been sent to State Regents and Local Court Regents . Details of the contest, student/member entry form, and local court form are included in the Quarterly Newsletter received in September. Local Court Regents should forward the information and forms to the Court Education Chairperson.

This year’s themes are “Let All You Do Be Done With Love” or “Show Love To One Another”. The contest is open to students in grades 4-5 in Essay, Poetry, Art, Computer Art; grades 6-8 and 9-12 in Essay, Poetry, Art, Computer Art, Music, and Photography; and for adult CDA members in Poetry, Art, and Photography. All entries must be of the contestant’s own imagination and creation. The rules for each category are detailed in the information from National CDA. Please note some changes. Information and forms are also available on CDA website at www.catholicdaughters.org. under Member Resources/Forms.

Please be sure each student/adult CDA member completes the required 2021 Education Contest Entry Form. The entire full page entry form must be taped or glued to the back of the entry. This form must be fully and legibly completed and signed by the student/member. Do not fold or roll entries. All Poetry and Essay contest entries must be typed.

Only one first place winning entry in each division (not one per theme) from each Court is to be submitted to the State Chairperson postmarked no later than March 1, 2021. Submissions to local courts should be by Feb.1 or earlier to allow March 1 delivery to State Chair. Please be sure all winning entries meet contest rules before selecting winners at the local court level.

Local Court Education Chairpersons must complete the 2021 State Education Contest Cover Sheet with names of first place winners and school, and submit with first place entries.
